Ever wondered what looking up into the skies from the moon would be like.
A comparison of views from the earth and moon (all times are earth times).
From earth:
The sun rises once a day
The moon rises once a day
The moon goes through phases once a month
The same face of the moon is always visible
Occasionally there is an eclipse of the moon and the moon darkens
Rarely there is an eclipse of the sun and the sun is precisely obscured by the moon
From the moon:
The sun rises once a month
The earth is either always in view or never if you are on the far side
The earth goes through phases once a month
The earth rotates once a day
Occasionally there is an eclipse of the sun when the sun is overwhelmed by the earth
Ocasionaly there is an eclipse of the earth when a small shadow is seen crossing its surface
